The repeat of Desert Island Discs

We live overseas, and it's irritating that Desert Island Discs (along with the Bob Dylan Radio Hour) is not available as listen again.

I heard last Sunday's Desert Island Discs a most varied collection of tracks.

I play guitar and at the moment Pat Metheny is top of my listening list.

All the best.

'Super Trouper' from Mamma Mia going round and round my head because last week I did an arrangement of it for a group of 10-year-olds who are desperate to play it. I'm now desperate to get it out of my head because it's driving me bonkers. wacko.gif

Alan Barnes, Scott Hamilton plus David Newton Trio CD "Zootcase".

Love "Mercy, Mercy, Mercy" too. For a long time it was my jazz group's "signature tune" - the one we could always play at a moments notice. That slot seems to have been taken by "Groove Merchant" now.

Why do I alwasy miss this thread?!?!

We could play Good King Wenceslas getting faster and faster - you see how fast you can get it before it falls completely to pieces! That's great fun, but we never get to play it at carol services (even without the getting faster bit) because apparently you're not allowed to play or sing it until after christmas. blink.gif
