For those of you who have done or are doing grade 3 this year, are any of you playing the unequal pairs or quavers as suggested in the notes? I'm about to start teaching it and wondered which was generally preferred. If you have done the exam with this piece playing unequal quavers, what sort of comments did you get?

I have only had two Grade 3 pupils who chose this one - we played it with even quavers, but added embellishments to the melody where it comes again after the middle section.

I did my Grade 3 over a year ago and did uneven quavers. It was lovely !!! I got positive comments on my mark sheet. I could look it up I suppose ... if I can still find my mark sheet.

Thanks for those replies, I will demonstate it to my pupil both ways and see what he thinks.
