Hello all, wonder if anyone can advise me - how much roughly might it cost to get a violin bow (well, 2 of them, actually) re-haired and generally repaired? Also, d'you think a violin maker/repairer would know anything about valuation (ie, of the bows?)

Last time we had a bow rehaired it cost £33. The cost may vary depending on where you are in the country. Try ringing a few people up and tell them what needs doing and they should be able to give an estimate of the cost. Remember price may not necessarily indicate the quailty of the work so it's good to get a few recommendations from friends.
