This was a film that a friend in the film business recommended to me as he knew I played the piano and the film is partly about that.

There is a scene in the film where, after months of practice and successful renditions at home, the main character plays for an audition and totally goofs. I have never seen a film before that dealt with this common situation.

If your a film buff as well as a piano enthusiast and don't mind subtitles you might like this film.

Thanks for the recommendation. It sounds like a film well worth seeing.

Is this the same film as the French 'de battre mon coeur s'est arrêté", do you know? If so it stars Romain Duris who goes for Piano lessons and falls for the teacher - it's a wonderful film and very sensitively made.
