i am thinking off getting a tennor saxophone but i was woundering how much it would cost to get one and if it would be worth getting one just for my self and not for a job

any help would be greatfully recieved

It'll set you back about £4000 maximum for a top of the range new professional. Perhaps £600 for a terrible, 3rd hand model.

well just try looking around in your music shops and see what advice they can give you as well.

thanks alot i have seen a new one for 600 but i dont no if it will be very good.
do u think it will be worth me going to the shop and asking if i can try it before i buy it
DavidMusic
600 will pay for a slightly reasonable Student Alto.. it'll never pay for a reasonable Student Tenor.

I suppose if you've never played a Saxophone before though, it's a good value.

Of course, if you already play the Saxophone, you should know better
saxlover
yes most music shops will let you try out an instrument before you buy it. i think it would be good to try it out first and take your teacher along if you have one, or if you are going to teach yourself see if someone can go with you,who knows about saxophone's.

As the minimum, and also probably the maximum, I'd be going for the YTS-275 (i think).... You can check that with Natalie, basiclaly the same model she has, with a T instead of an A in the model number

yes the sax i got was a yamaha one, YAS-275 so look at the same make but for tenor. its an ok sax to start of with.

Hi, there's a Yamaha tenor YAS-275 on ebay at the moment - £550 at the moment - why not check it out!
sazzy34
thanks all. i am starting to save up for a tennor saxophone so i should be able to get one at the end of september.
thanks again

You realise it's spelt tenor?

You'll have no end of trouble finding any cheap prices online if you don't spell it right!
