I was interested to hear of someone playing jazz on flute.I can't think of any other musician among all the Sax players that I've listened to who plays flute (at least not on record).
Please tell us what sort of music you are playing and re: the exam ,have you tried the ABRSM website--it's very good. smile.gif

For examples of jazz flautists and flautists who play jazz... here, here, and to listen to samples go to Bill McBirnie's site or the site that TSax recommends in this post. There are a good few jazz saxophonists who double on flute, but there are also a few in the bone jazz flautists out there too.

I'm glad Sarah's posted Gareth Lockrane's site above - he really is a great musician (and pretty impressive pianist as well as a flautist). Jazz greats who doubled on flute include Eric Dolphy and Roland Kirk. I'm sure there are more but I can't think of them at the moment...
