I've partly figured it out!!

The symbols change on the end board everytime!

How lame. The symbol which appears is above all the numbers in the 9 times table. 9, 18, 27 etc.

why is it that when you add up the digits and then subtract them you get a multiple of nine? Numbers can be really beautiful!

just clicked: 10a + b - ( a + b ) = 9a so the answer will always be nine times the first digit, which will also always be a multiple of 9.

What got me was once, just to test it (Because I'm soooooooooo gullible ) I picked a random one to stare at, and it got the right one! I was well and truly freaked at that.

And how does that *****ing triangle work???

To test it I tried it 4 times - twice I closed my eyes and twice I deliberately looked at the wrong number. On each of those 4 times, it gave me the incorrect symbol. I did the tests again using the same numbers and doing it properly, and each time it gave me the correct symbol.

Not really a game but it's good fun to do!
