Welcome to the forum Sue - like you, I play the saxophone.

Have a look through Viva Woodwind for useful sax stuff, and you'll also find the Adult Learner's forum invaluable I'm sure. You can talk to other adult learners about your experiences there. smile.gif

Good luck for your grade 5 on Thursday!

Hi Sue, and welcome.

I'm another adult starter, in my case singing, violin, piano (re-start after 25 years) and recorder (re-start after 30 years).

You'll find a lot of enthusiastic support here, do enjoy posting. Good luck for your exam.

Cheers

Just to add to what everyone else said about places to see, if you want to just chill out and chat with other forum members, visit the 'Come In, Sit Down !' thread. If you want a job in the cafe, you can ask me and I'll show you the job list. Also, you can take part in the ABRSM Platinum Blend Cafe© Awards, which start in approximately 2 weeks.

It is lovely here. Kirkby Stephen is a lot farther west. We are just west of Harrogate in Nidderdale - near Pateley Bridge.

What a beautiful part of the country. When my daughter went to Durham university we decided to have a holiday in the area every October, when we had to take her back to Durham. So far we've stayed in Teesdale and in the Yorkshire Dales, near Kirby Stephen. It is just so gorgeous. Trying to think where we go this October (providing daughter's passed her exams, of course.) If it wasn't such a long journey I think we'd go up there more often.

Welcome Sue, to the forums.
