Did anybody listen to this sonata? I play it and i want to know your opinion about this piece of music concerning its musicality, not its difficulty.

Is it a good example of baroque keyboard music or it is just a series of descending arpeggios ? I don't know but sometimes i get the feeling it is just a technical exercise for the RH fast descending arpeggios.

I know it is not as fascinating as K.27 or K.46 or K.466 but I want to know if this piece can be performed someday or I better keep it for warming up.

I like it I have been messing around with the dynamics a little more than that version though, it adds interest.

Have to admit, I've played it to my pupils as an example of why scales and arpeggios are not just for exams!

Hi i'm currently doing this one for G8 on Tuesday!
It is quite difficult to play it musically - at the bottom of the piece the ABRSM have put 'Scarlatti's own description is ... "In these compositions, do not expect any profound learning, but rather an ingenious jesting with art."

I tried it but found it a bit boring, to be honest. There isn't an awful lot going on there and what there is is rather repetitive. Also, if you alternate hands you don't get any RH arpeggio practice anyway. It's an alright piece, but I feel a performance would have to be exceptional to make this piece seem especially interesting.

Im playing this for my G8 too. I find it is quite boring to play.
I too think it is very much like technical exercises - which i hate playing (probably the reason i dont like this piece)

I, personally wouldnt play it in a recital as i think it is too repetative.
