I have just got a new laptop (Apple Macbook) & downloaded Sibelius Scorch to use on the sheetmusicdirect website. I have followed all the instructions & the installation was successful but I still can't see the music. sad.gif I went on the Mac User's Help Page but the downloads on there didn't help at all. Has anyone else got a Mac computer & if so, do you know how to get Scorch to work?

Thanks in advance smile.gif

I don't use a mac but what browser are you using (firefox, opera?) you may need to add a plug in for scorch i.e. install directly to browsers plug ins

I haven't got a Mac either, but had to use a plugin too as I use Firefox.

Why don't you look on the Sibelius site? They've got a help centre.

I have terrible trouble using scorch with firefox. In fact I have (crosses self) explorer on my machine just for the purpose of running scorch.

Thanks for the replies everyone. smile.gif I've installed various plugins for it but still no luck. sad.gif I loved being able to see what the music was like before buying it as I buy quite a lot of my music online but now I won't be able to do that. Is there ANYONE who can help me?! I've gone to the help centre on the Sibelius website but they were no help whatsoever so I'm at a loss as to what to do. It worked OK on my old laptop so I don't know if it doesn't work properly on Macs but it says it does so there must be something I can do to fix it. I use Firefox but it's a little different to what it was like on my PC as I'm using Mac OS X instead of Windows.

If there's anyone that knows how to cure this problem then I'd be really grateful if you could let me know. smile.gif

Thanks again,

I know this might be really obvious but you did download the mac version of scorch and the windows version. Sorry if this seems rude smile.gif
Lisa87
It doesn't seem rude at all! biggrin.gif I downloaded the Mac version but not the windows version as windows isn't on Macs.

You can get a pc emulator for mac, and there's also a version of IE for macs. Either of those any help?

Thanks for your suggestions everyone but I emailed Sibelius a couple of days ago & they replied today with a solution.....& it works!!! biggrin.gif I have to use Safari as my internet browser but set it so that it opens using something called Rosetta. I don't know what that is but I did it & I can now see the music!

Hurray, that's good news then! smile.gif

Going straight to the horse's mouth usually works.
