I have an instrument on my body which I like to play with all the time. It's very versatile: it can be hard and tough or soft and gentle. And I've been playing with it from a very young age.
Yes, it's my voice.

Aw Trebor - how awful! What an omission!
Can I invite you to join me (and a few slesct others) in the triangle section? (Its where the REAL musicians hang out!)

Duly joined. Although the 'harsichord' intrigued me, since I am not familiar with that instrument. Is it related to the harpsichord in any way?

Yeah! Go Trebor!
Let's hope people like the OP realise how truly sublime the triangle is!
"Harsichord" sounds quite rude if you say it fast enough........... (but don't tell the mods or they'll ban us!)
Actually the "guiter" sounds like fun too!!

I hope you're not questioning my utter passion for the triangle...[reaches for Shostakovich's 15 symphonies, in preparation for intensive listening session, in which Shosta's sublime orchestration must surely include a triangle....somewhere....]

Would that be the sexyphone? (That will probably get moderated into cyber space!)
Trebor, did you manage to get 150 on your Dip in triangle performance?
I wish the AB would let people get more than 150 - I mean, where's the scope for exceptional preformance?

The AB examiners don't examine Trebor; Trebor examines them. I once got a score higher than they could count, so they had to round it down.

I'm sure if you watch American Pie enough times, all instruments are rude! As for my favourite...well it has to be that triangle! It's never out of tune, it's portable, cheap and a vital part of any orchestra!

I voted piano, because I not only love it, I play it too.
But I love a whole load of different instruments almost equally.... Flute, violin, harp, guitar and accordion are to mention only a few of my favourites! I don't think any one of them is better than the rest. They all have their own part to play when it comes to music (pardon the pun

).

Yes...but not on the General Music Forum.
Besides, I could never understand why on earth you wanted the piano to be the "queen" of all instruments?????
Queen????
King, maybe (if that's the sort of thing you go for), but "queen" just has too many weird connotations!!

It wasn't us that said it, it was Mozart and you've got to accept he was a pretty mean pianist who wrote lots of wonderful works for the instrument. That doesn't change the status of Organ as King of Instruments.

True, that's why the piano is call the "Queen" of instrument then.

For me, the violin is the greatest instrument, greater than any other there exists. Absolutely unparalleled.
For this I would just like to quote Yehudi Menuhin....
The violinist remains "... the supreme solo instrument, subjective enough to have meaning, anonymous enough to be universal, mobile as the man who cradled it from settlement to settlement, from concert to Opera house. The piano speaks with many voices, the violin is the individual voice, proved throughout history to speak to and for the multitude more effectively than any number of majority decisions, however harmoniously arrived at..."
