If you forget the words just sing "My Old Man's a Dustbin". They seem to fit most tunes.
Want another shandy? Don't let Eddie have any beer. He is awfully unsteady on his hooves after just a few drops.
Those shoes arent sundials Lidd. They are genuine gypsy shoes. I got them yesterday from a seller in exchange for a sketch of her horse. Nice pink colour aren't they?

Your Grannie Greenie? She must be a hundren and fifty years old if she's a day! (Silly old bat probably means her next door neighbour!)
I warned you that I'd fall over if i tried to dance Lidd. Play the introduction again if you will and I'll start again. Then we'll swap and you can sing that Edelweed song if you like.

Don't know where you are Summat Else, but Lidd and I are in the pub in Appleby. May may be on her way. Then we are going to take the ponies up north to see Greenie in Scotland. Liddy wants to walk though, after a nasty moment with a horse yesterday.
Right... click heels three times now at pub in appleby. Mine's a pint of the Landlord's finest please. I'll ride Liddies horse... got the measure of it after the puddle. Unfortuntatley I've left the magic carpet with the young'uns

We aren't lost Lidd, just slightly drunk! We didn't buy the daft horse Summat; we got Bertie and Plod, two nice quiet gypsy cob ponies and I have Eddie and Dobbin here too, thanks to Lavvy who decided to let them out at Leeds! You can have Eddie if you like. Tomorrow we head north.
Has anyone seen Great May recently? She was coming for a quiet drink too.

Hello girls!
This is a very significant post for me, and so I thought it deserved to be in my favourite thread

Stewey can't be
that tall, but I think the stool's a good idea May. Don't quite know what for, but hey! And Liddy, I'm sure a woolen knife will be of great use!

Scotland has prepared itself for your impending arrival, the army are on the border
to chase you away to welcome you lovingly to our country...

Are you sure you wouldn't rather catch the train? That way you could scare the others by arriving first!

Rise and shine girls! Well, try rise at least.

Ponies are ready tacked up and waiting and Eddie is a packed packhorse.. I'll ride my faithful old Dobbin and Plod and Bertie are just awaiting their riders now. Get yourselves on board and we'll be off.
May climbs onto Bertie and Summat chooses Plod. Are you sure that you want to walk Lidd?
jod
Jun 10 2007, 08:43 AM
Does Plod have an accellerator... or do I have to do something with me slippers... Good plod... you can go faster than wlk plod... gee-up....trot you silly nag... No not that way we're going to Scotland not Cornwall.
petrat
Jun 10 2007, 09:12 AM
Yes, they all do fast if you want. Just say "trot on" followed a few paces later by "canter" and even the faithful, trusting Plod will move. He is called Plod because he is a relative of the famous Policeman's Horse from the Met, not because of his slow paces.
Trot on Dobbin. We'll soon be there at this rate. Is Eddie trotting along nicely too. What about Lidd. I think that she might prefer to ride now rather than jog alongside. She looks rather pink.

Jun 10 2007, 09:26 AM

Have you got a cushion Addy?? This saddle is a bit hard
Liddy, why are you on backwards, is it for the view or what?
How many
weeks days will it take us to get to Scottyland then Addy.
Add, why are you in a gypsies' get-up?? Those earrings are so large, you could get a parrot swinging on them

I kept the gypsy clothes on because it is very hot and they are nice and cool, and also because I like them. They came from a real gypsy clothes stall in Appleby and I think that they suit my flamboyant personality. The earings are a bit big but they nake a great ariel for my personal radio. I've got Radio Cymru on at the moment because I am on it.
I haven't got a cushion but I do have a pack of dusters. Lidd can have those.
It won't take us long at this pace to get there. We are almost at the border already.
On our way Greenie fach!

Jun 10 2007, 10:12 AM

Let's stop for grub at the next pub. I am quite hungry too. We can let the ponies have their nose bags for a while.

jod
Jun 10 2007, 11:02 AM
I'll only have the cider if its the real McCoy, otherwise a pint of bitter would go down much better.
