My brother and sister in law joked, when they were expecting their first child, that they would name her after her grandmothers if she was a girl...Gladys Nora

She was (is) a girl, but they named her Joanne, (relief all round), and she is now expecting their first grandchild.

PS only hint on names so far from Jo is that they want to call him Archie if he's a boy, but are a bit concerned about people thinking they named him after our dog

I could quote a number of other similar posts on this thread, but I do agree with the sentiments in the posts I've quoted above.

I know, I'll pose behind the percussion section - nothing tacky mind! Something tasteful, I might even take me curlers out - perhaps a touch of secretary blue eyeshadow, but not too much (not like these young girls, mind, going round with more make-up on than an ICI beagle...shocking)
