I have a 7 year old piano pupil who finds playing with hands together nearly impossible! He has a good ear, a good sense of ryhthm but co-ordination at the moment defeats him. We are nearing the end of his first year of tuition and I feel that he shouldn't find it so hard. Any suggestions?

perhaps you could ask him to play C-G hands together, unison, slowly up and down then when he can do that one hand could play alternate notes while the other carries on the up and down, if you get what i mean.
