hi... anyone did A1, B3 n C2? although i'm playing quite fine in my pieces, but i would like to get more advice on how to make my pieces sound better... can someone give me some advice in any of the 3 pieces?

If I remember correctly those were the exact pieces I did! Corant, Vals Poetico and Prayer of the Matador, right? Anyhoo, good luck for your exam - keep calm, don't panic and just give it your best.

What advice do you want in particular?

that means for eg. in the Prayer of the Madator, if you use pedal from bar 39-43, i had a bit of problem controlling... it's like the last part is too noisy using the pedal. then for Vals poetico, at bar 3, there are 3 chords right? is it better to start from mf and get louder or is it better to maintain the mf throughout in bar 3? for Corant, i don't have really much of a problem with it...

I only did C2 out of them and I think the key quality it must have is to be hypnotic. The examiner specifically mentioned that on my comments sheet. Hope all goes well.

As for your questions , in Prayer of the Matador don't sustain the pedal for too long , I uesd to lift at the end of each bar and it worked!

Just make your self comfortable and enjoy playing ...

yea... thanks for all ur tips for my grade 6 pieces... and all the wishing me good luck... i will add another post on the 20th July to keep you inform of how everything goes... i will be getting my reults around 2-3 months in advance so maybe i would also add another post to inform you guys about my results... will try my best to obtain a Distinction as possible as i could...

In Prayer of the Matador, the left hand dynamics should be sort of lilting, and the right hand should be very very very dynamic throughout.
