Are you thinking of taking up the flute? APF will tell you how disastrous my attempt at tryng to play the flute was in July!

I played a bit as a youngster, and dug it out to have a try at the flute day Andante-in-C organised. And found I hadn't forgotten as much as I thought I would...

Playing at the dress rehearsal of a short musical called 'Jail Break". Mouth muscles not used to playing long sustained notes for so long and are giving up during the descant I have to play in last piece.
mental note made to begin so serious clarinet practice to develop stamina but beginning to panic as piano teacher and I had a conversation along the lines of "I'm not really focusing hard on my practice and just twiddling around with pieces". "Ok, you've had a bit of time since your dad died " (in August and I wasn't too focused for a bit) "I think you need to get Gr 6 pieces and begin some serious practice on the piano".
It seemed like a good idea at the time but not too sure how much time I have.... not too sure which is most pressing, building my clarinet stamina up (I do teach clarinet but my pupils are all below Gr 5 at the mo so not much stamina needed yet) or piano practice?
