No- on a piano stool, whilst holding onto a cello, trying to learn the hand movements. tongue.gif Confuddling for someone who, though has had music lessons for over 10 years, has never used this method.
I feel I should have done, and reckon it may be useful for teaching- so need to start practising! biggrin.gif

Add to the list of musical activities, a saxophone practise- I can still play, and will, from a weeks time, play in a band ph34r.gif (I hasten to add, a brass band- to help a new tenor horn player- oh the amusement! laugh.gif )

I really must become fluent in tonic doodah... rolleyes.gif

Many years ago Piers Adams came to teach the children in a primary school I was teaching in and also played a mini-concert for them wub.gif . The children all wrote thank-you letters afterwards. One puzzled me. It read:

Dear Piers,

Thank you for playing for us. I especially liked it when you played der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der.

From Patrick.

I collared Patrick and asked him to read his letter to me as it didn't make any sense. He got to the bit that said 'I especially liked it when you played...' and then he launched into singing the Match of the Day theme tune - naturally, every note was sung to 'der'.

Silly me, not to have recognised it...

That looks like one of my exam questions - add the bar lines, the time signature and the correct beaming blink.gif ohmy.gif

But then I might have got exams on the brain, ATM I'm revising for my G3 Theory in three weeks' time.... huh.gif
Melody Amour
I don't want to depress you, Skylark, but your exam is in 2 weeks 5 days time. My musical activity today was going to Wigmore Hall to watch two violin sonatas.
Clariano
I had my music listening lesson, and I found out that I passed my third year Int 2 exam woot.gif
nicki_flute
Did 3.5-4 hours of busking - raised £130 biggrin.gif
Melody Amour
That is brilliant, Nicki. Were you pleased with your performance? I have forgotten where your original thread is.

Have spent several hours today slogging through Harmony in Practice (big orange book) in preparation for grade 7 theory in a coupe of weeks. Argh, feels like wading through treacle...
BBTOTW
I did some piano playing, and also thought about revision for my AS next week smile.gif

Can I join in?

Today I bashed my finger while cleaning a paintbrush (don't ask!!!) so the nearest I have been to practicing my violin was listening to Vivaldi's Aminor violin concerto on CD. *misery*
