Full Version: Invision Power Board

Is that phrase at the top of the page new? I've just noticed it. blink.gif
Kate
I was wondering if there'd be a topic on that! Where's the AB logo gone?
JudithJ
It's new to me ... and I'm not sure that I can cope.

meerkat
It's just the name of the company that made the software and that the ABRSM 'rent' the webspace from. It's the logo that you automatically get when you set up an invision board - the abrsm had replaced it with their own logo. My guess is that someone's been playing around with the website appearance, and lost the abrsm logo. I wouldn't worry. This board has always been an invision board (i know cause I own one, and recognise the format!)

hope we get our normal heading back soon!

Yeah its just the logo that's gone. I'm sure it will be back as soon as someone at the ABRSM has time to do a bit of admin on the board. But don't try clicking on it to get to the ABRSM site as you will most likely go to the pro-boards site instead laugh.gif
noodle
Every time I try to read a thread I get a message asking if I want to debug. I have the choice yes, or no, but if I choose no, then the same message keeps appearing. It is soooo annoying. It was ok until 'Invision Power Board' appeared'.
Car Expert
The box on everyone's profile to see their profile statistics (e.g. the posts/topics that you've done) doesn't work either...

EDIT: You can't do Quick Edit either dry.gif

Car Expert
noodle
No, neither you can. I can't underline, strikethrough either. I keep getting 'Runtime error..... do you wish to debug?' It is so annoying. Any ideas how to get rid of it??
Car Expert
Weird... I don't get that! The underline, strikethrough, etc. comes out as text rather than as symbols on the toolbar...

They are having real problems, the clock reverted to GMT a while ago too!
Car Expert
And the board index went weird for a minute as well...

Oddball
Ooooh, maybe someone pressed the big fat reset button...
La_Chopiniste_
No logos or pictures are displayed as well.. Seems that there's a big problem..

It's back now! biggrin.gif

I feel deprived - I didn't see it!
Some of the bits of the screen are not quite normal though - little red x's.
meerkat
Is it just me or is the forum options pull down menu not working? I've got a little v next to it and it's no longer clickable.

Car Expert - yeah I've lost the icons that go with the text formatting buttons too. And they're also no longer clickable.

I think someone who doesn't know how the code works has been having a good play around in the admin control panel... biggrin.gif
noodle
I'm getting little red x's too Maggie and I'm still getting the 'runtime error- do I want to debug?' message. No I can't de-bug - it won't let me, I want it to bug-ger off and leave me to read the forum in peace. mad.gif
meerkat
de-bug-ger probably means that the script's been messed up too.

Yep, it's the same on your profile, like I mentioned earlier. smile.gif

I want Christine to come and tell us what went off!
Trebor
All in all, it wasn't the best 'upgrade' ever made... wink.gif
mrbouffant
As we say in the trade, it's bugg3red (or words to that effect...)
meerkat
invision hasn't upgraded though. My board would have been 'upgraded' had they done that. This is something a little more local, I'm afraid! biggrin.gif
Car Expert
I think all the problems have been solved. Quick Edit seems to be working again, and so does the options on the topic pages and on everyone's profiles.

Car Expert
bobifier
Absolutely none of that happened to me...
mrbouffant
Anyone noticed that the functionality of the "back" button has been hosed by the forum "upgrade" ? It loads lots of cr@p from a style_images folder into the immediate history instead of allowing me to jump back out of a thread, for example, like it used to...

Ah, progress.... wink.gif
Oddball
Yes, I agree. And then you can't click back because it just redirects ya...

#######, I hate it!!
Trebor
Wow. I just loaded the page in IE and they really have screwed this one up. This seems to be a rare occasion where FF works better.
anacrusis
If you use the little arrow bit of the back button and choose the bottom option, you can get back (sometimes you have to do it twice) - but I don't think that's the way it's supposed to work, is it?

I'm using FF and I've got no problems with my back button...

Well it's driving me nuts...just can't navigate anymore. Don't know what they were trying to do, can't see any improvements as a result just a load of bugs mad.gif mad.gif

I suspect it was for security reasons after last weekend. wink.gif

Well according to my pc everyone is unregistered! huh.gif

Boo Radley, there have been several threads on around the same topic (including CISD). smile.gif

Help. Someone pay the rent soon, or they might cut off the electricity too.
