biggrin.gif Hi student pianists,

Have you ever had any piano masterclass from some professional pianists?? laugh.gif I just had one today in my music class, an Austrian pianist came to our class and give us(wel...only me and other student pianist) a masterclass on the piece that we are doing. It's great to have things like this, because he has picked up so many mistakes or things which needs improvement in the piece that I showed him(which is a movement from the schubert sonata...the one that I did for my dip exam...). And now I have finally realise that I'm entirely NOTHING, compare to a REAL pianist.... sad.gif There's A LOT...........of things to be improved... smile.gif

Yes, I've had several masterclasses, they are a great experience and really help you to deal with nerves when performing. Remember that it's only one person's opinion though, and that if you have a masterclass with someone else they may tell you the opposite!

I have been to some, all done by the same "professional". They were horrible and I left one in tears. I only went because my teacher at the time made her students go. I hope master classes at college will be better.
