smile.gif I have to say, in an informal context such as a messageboard bad spelling doesn't really bother me that much. Besides, considering my own at times dubious grasp of the English language, I can't afford to be too much of a pedant!
Incorrect spellings are not so forgiveable in official letters etc though - I think in these cases people should really make the effort to check...

A snack shop in town advertises "pitta's, baguette's, meal deal's..." you get the picture.

Random mean trick: if you want to drive YAP to drink, send him PMs entitled "Panini's" wink.gif

You know, I don't mind the misplaced apostrophe so much as long as the person consistently misplaces it: it shows they are working to a rule that they have internalised (albeit incorrectly). What drives me mad is mixed use, frequently seen in markets all over English-speaking countries:

Sock's, boxer's, hats, gloves, tight's etc...

That just shows laziness and a lack of respect for the language - that's what gets my goat up. I don't much care if people make grammatical errors because there isn't really such a thing as 'correct grammar' as a fixed object, it constantly changes. Linguistic disrespect I cannot handle, though...

In the words of Henry Higgins, 'why can't the English teach their children how to speak?'

I'm VERY bad at spelling, but I have to get it right in a year(before I'm yoar10 and doing GSCS work)

That is so hard, to not give marks just because you cant spell. It's easier to spell long words like photosynthesis and stuff
