Hi, in 2 days time, my violin is going on a 3 day drive to Poland (without me! ).
The van will no doubt get very very warm, and I was just wondering if there was anything I should do to make it feel more comfortable. I have a very good strong case, and lots of bubblewrap. Is there anything else people can suggest?

I'd detension the strings somewhat, a couple of tones say, but not completely.

If you can get hold of some, put a few of those little silica gel packets into the case. These help to reduce/eliminate moisture, which can cause damage to instruments. I'm not sure if/where silica gel packets can be bought, but you can usually find them lying around unwanted in supermarkets, so just keep your eyes open when you next go shopping.
