Did anyone else find it impossible to login today? I kept getting told I wasn't registered.

It's telling people that everyone is unregistered, and doing all sorts of other funny stuff. I hope it gets better soon...

It also says that mrbouffant has done 61997 posts in CISD...

ABRSM are onto the case...just be patient.

I had problems too - I ended up re-registering.
Everyone was coming up as unregistered.

I'm logged in, but my previous posts say I'm unregistered! Thats because my computer always has me logged in!

Aaah, that'll be why I was on as well...

Thanks for that! I thought it was my laptop suffering from heat exhaustion. Afunny message came up on the AB board saying "overflow....". I think they're having problems at the moment.

Last night it was telling me that there were too many people logged on.

I'm really sorry for the problems that we've had this afternoon.

As you can all see, we've restored the forums and all the information on everyone's profiles so that you can use the forums again. This means that all your PMs, photos, signatures and sign ins are all safe and should be working again as usual.

I'd also like to reassure you all that your total post countings have not been lost. You will see them alongside any new postings that you make.

However, any old postings made before the error occured will now have unregistered next to them.

The problems were caused by a database hiccup during an admin update, which has resulted in your member numbers disassociating themselves with the postings that you have made.

I'm afraid that there's no quick fix solution to this although we'll continue to look into it. However, in time, as new postings are made, your postings with "Unregistered" alongside them should gradually decrease.

Once again - I'm really sorry for this error and for any panic or inconvenience that has been caused.

I've always thought I should learn PHP or Java or something to put in web pages.... But I can't be bothered, so I don't.

I'm guessing this must be a general problem, mine are missing too.

Having seen these messages, I think I will immediately take up the habit of archiving all my messages. Hurrah for the archives!
