I've never heard anyone else having this problem but surely I'm not alone? huh.gif

I find playing with a metronome difficult.

Any advice, guidance etc?

Thanks x

Yes, these metronomes are so mean sometimes, not keeping time with one's playing!

No, you are very definitely not alone! It's well worth the effort to get used to practising with a metronome though, as it's a very useful tool. It can be a great settler of arguments too. I mean the sort where A. says "Why are you rushing there?" and B. says "I'm not rushing, you're dragging". laugh.gif

I got a Korg electronic one which has a headphone socket, so if I plug in a pair of headphones I get the beat in my ear which I find helpful.

A lot of my students use key boards instead of pianos ( mad.gif ) which have built in metronomes. Are these as accurate as the "real thing"? blink.gif

I would have thought it would be more accurate as it is electronic.

No, I find it difficult too. I don't practice that much with a metronome. I use it for when I practice for concerts, grade practice and compititions
