have my grade 6 exam today... but i dont know whether it should be considered gd or bad...

For the scales, everything was perfect except for some slips... For the pieces, A1, some of the ornaments were not clear... B3, everything just nice... C2, everything was also just nice... For sight-reading, the rhythm was not right...

For aural, Test A- forget some of it... Test B- i think should have no problem... Test C- everything were perfect... Test D- the examiner test me on the mood and the period. Is it alright to say that the mood is happy and powerful? or should i elaborate? the period i say it's from the 20th century... then after tat, we need to clap the rhythm and say whether it's 2,3 or 4 time... i wasn't able to remember the rhythm and i'm very sure that i clapped wrongly and the time, i just anyhow guess that it's 2 time...

Overall, should it be considered good or bad? Will i most likely be able to obtain pass, merit or distinction?

There's really no point in the rest of us predicting what your result will be. We weren't there, and although you have started to describe how you think each part went, you need to remember that in an exam situation one tends to perceive things differently (perhaps more critically, perhaps not - depends on the person) than usual.

If things were generally 'nice' then hopefully you have passed.

my instrument is piano... i hope what you say would be true for me... i'm not sure if i really perceive things differently... but hopefully, if really so, i would be able to obtain a better results than i expected...

Like benjamin, I agree we can't tell you how it went. But from your description, it sounds like it went pretty well, so now relax and forget about it for the next few weeks! Let us know how it went.

Dont worry, I'm sure you didn't do as badly as you think on the aural test

I did worse than how you imply that you did and got a distinction, so you'll be fine.

It sounds like a good exam but as other people have said, we can't really predict your result. Just wanted to say good luck & let us know your result when you get it.

People never do as badly as they think they've done so you're probably worrying about nothing!
