Hi i live in the Cheshire area and was wondering how to meet other musicians, classical in my area? Im taking my grade two violin tmrw, just done my grade two theory and hopefully preparing if all goes well tmrw! going to take my grade three violin in Nov Dec, so i may or may not be up to orchestra standard but feel i would definately benefit from playing classical music with others to get more accustomed to potential orchestra life?? Any suggestions??

I'm delighted you want to meet other musicians to make music. It is very rewarding. I suggest you contact teachers in your area. I'm sure they will be only too pleased to arrange for you to get together with some of their pupils. Good luck. smile.gif

Hi Luckgirl !!

I am also looking for one, and i live in the Stockport area.

Maybe Fiona can help you too, as she has also offered me to join their orchestra in their local church in Mossley. I've just finished my exam in Grade I, but i have been doing other studies on the side.
Hope this helps.

Hope that this doesn't count as advertising but.......

Hi Tootsie and Luckygirl.

It's a church in the area which the orchestra use - not a church orchestra if you get my meaning ? Nothing religious attached !

It's on a Fri eve with the new repertoire starting 2nd July.

If you are interested, let me know
