Has anyone here seen Stomp? As in the people who make music with everyday objects?
bassmadmatt
I havn't seen them live, but I watched a video of them a while back and it was really good. Their music is so clever, I'd love to see them perform at one of the London theatres.

I believe they were involved in the ceremony for the 2002 Manchester Commonwealth Games smile.gif.

I think I saw them on a video or on TV... huh.gif

Very clever, as I recall.

I've seen them twice, once at the Blue Peter Prom a couple of years ago, then again last year in the theatre. It was very clever and great fun.

I wish that they could go to all the schools and enthuse our young people to take up music.

I saw them last month, live in Auckland (NZ) They were incredible and got rave reviews with the seaon being extended cos it sold out.

The group combines dance, theatre and percussion. They used brooms, match boxes, zippo lighters, rubber tubing, metal rubbish bins and the associated lids, basket balls, newspapers, spare parts from cars, plastic shopping bags, 44 gallon drums, etc, etc, etc.
My absolute favourite part was the percussion on the empty water filter machine bottles - that was awesome

Have a look at www.stomponline.com ... better still try and see them live

I am almost sure that I saw them on TV a couple of years ago if not longer doing a very funny and clever routine playing and dancing around with metal dustbins tied to their fronts. Must make a huge noise when they perform!

I went to see them live in a London theatre and it was absolutely fantastic.
The music that they can create with everyday objects was absolutely fantastic and it has inspired me to do my own version which I have.
I often walk round our music block and find random instruments or objects and then create music fusion with them lol

Sad I know

I remember seeing them on TV ages ago. I would love to see them live though.
