And even if they did I can't quite see how you are going to learn about people's favourite movements from your two-tiered poll. huh.gif

Ask abrown or LCleverdon, via Personal Message (PM) (My Controls -> Compose New Message).

You can always leave it as it is - it won't do any harm. smile.gif

I'm playing Vivaldi's Spring, the 1st Allegro movement for my grade 8 violin. Quite a good piece, and has that fun very fast solo section in the middle.

My favourite is the 3rd movement of Winter to play but I love to hear them all played on the violin. Does anyone know of a CD of Vivaldi's Four Seasons that you can play along to on the violin?

There is one in the Music Minus One series, but I haven't seen or heard it.

As far as favourites go, i have a mixed view. I love the 2nd movement of Spring, the 3rd movement of Summer and the 1st movement of Winter.

Strange but true. Although overall my favourite is Winter.

Four Seasons is divided into 3 parts of music for each season. These parts are called movements. 1st, 2nd & 3rd movement of Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter. My favourite is the 2nd movement of Winter - though I also like the movement of Spring where it depicts birdsong and the flowing river - and the really dramatic movement of Summer which depicts the thunder & lightning and heavy rain .... Really, I could listen to them all over and over again!

And you'll definitely need a lot of work on them when you are Grade 8+! wink.gif laugh.gif A few teachers I know need to work at them even at their level!
