I was just wondering if anyone knew of any good summer schools / short residential courses. I want to do a singing course, not necessarily in the summer - my holidays are fairly flexible. (Does anyone do a theory course?)

Searches on the web haven't come up with much. Any ideas would be much appreciated, though the more accessible from Cornwall the better!

I think Rhinegold publish a guide on music courses throughout the year. Also the Music Education yearbook also published by them list various courses. There are all sorts of music courses held in Frome, Somerset but I can't remember the name of the venue, sorry. Hope thats of some help.

funny you should say that, i just got given a few hours ago a bit of information on this one, its run by Jackdaws Educational Trust, Bridge House, Great Elm, Frome. BA11 3NY (01373) 812383, have no clue what its like, but theres the info!

I sometimes think that the world ends at Bristol, or at the furthest, Plymouth. Nothing, or very little seems to come down as far as Cornwall!

If you do find anything emma, please let me know, particularly if it happens to be within the county!
