you mentioned a while ago that you'd settled on some strings you were really happy with - lightly polished ones. Can you remind me what they were?
Hi Meerkat
The strings are D'Addario Pro Arte LP Composites EJ45LP (Normal tension, lightly polished). Totally recommend them. I got them from Stafford Guitar by mail order.
I read some of your posts regarding the guitar festival. I'm glad it went so well. Do you think your playing improved a lot, did you get sore fingers, going again next year? Sorry for all the questions but kind of jealous that I didn't go now!

It was good fun, and I learned a lot. The master classes in particular were excellent. There was a lot of ensemble playing - great for sight reading, but perhaps I could have done with slightly less of it. The individual lessons were very good. One of the tutors fixed some right hand problems that have significantly improved my tone. The concerts were fantastic, and I think I probably learned a lot from attending them.
Mostly though, I think it was good just to be there, be with a bunch of other people who love classical guitar, and have opportunities to play, and to perform in a safe environment.
I'll have a bash at the strings that you suggested. I lucked on savarez, with my first string change, and really liked them (the high tension ones) but I thought I should probably do some comparisons before really settling with them.
