I'm from Thailand.
If I take Grade 8 piano practical exam in 2005 (next year).
I'd like to know if I can choose pieces from Group A and B from current syllabus (2003-4) which will still be valid in my country next year and Group C from the new syllabus (2005-6) which is listed for a preview in Libretto.

Pls help......

No... all pieces must be from the same syllabus.

Hi linlizhen,

I'd just like to confirm that what sbhoa says is correct - you are not allowed to mix the syllabuses. The pieces that you choose for your exam next year must all be from either the 2003-2004 syllabus or the 2005 - 2006 syllabus.

Please note that overseas candidates may use the 2003-2004 syllabus during the whole of 2005. This is NOT the case for UK candidates who may only use the 2003-2004 syllabus for Period A examinations in 2005 (taking place in March 05)

Hope this helps to clear a few things up.

Best regards
