The titile says it all smile.gif . I have the disney books with the vocal arrangements but need to know how similar the flute arrangements are (I'm assuming there's a "play along Disney book for flute".)
In the arrangements I have:
Be our guest - (complex version) starts in G maj, modulates to Ab maj, to A maj, to B maj & finishes in C maj.
The simplified version: G maj to C maj to G maj to C maj
Colors of the Wind: complex version: Bb maj
Simplified version: C maj

The version I've got starts in Ab major, modulates to A major, modulates to Bb major, modulates to C major, ends in Db major...

Thanks - sounds as though my version needs transposed up a semitone biggrin.gif .
Do you know what key your version of Colors of the wind is in?

Haven't got colours of the wind... I don't think

A pupil of mine has played both of these, and if I remember correctly, Colors of the Wind is in the key of Eb.

I can't tell you exactly, but I do know that Disney flute books tend to be in flat keys, presumably so they can use the same CD for Bb and Eb instruments.

Speaking of Disney, what are the best Disney playalongs (Disney Greats, Movie Hits etc.), and what age group usually enjoys it? I was looking at some playalong type things as ideas for my own teaching.

Those books, for various instruments, go down well with 12-15 year olds.

Thanks for that - do you know if there is a flute & piano accompaniment version or are they all with a playalong cd?

I've not seen a version with piano accompaniment, sorry. If you want one, your best bet is probably to buy the flute copy with chord symbols and write your own...well that's what I'd do anyway smile.gif

There is a Disney CD playalong for piano, which could well be in the same key as Colours of the Wind flute solo, I have it lying around somewhere, when I get chance I will take a look.
