I just wondered if anyone was going to Bude jazzfest? Or did anybody go to Keswick or Whitley Bay jazzfests? It would be nice to hear from somebody else who likes Dixieland jazz!

I usually go to Bude Festival - to perform - with my band Hot Strings. But not this year, as we disbanded for a couple of years; however we're now back in business so may well be playing there again next year. Yay!

The IOM Jazz Festival is going on at the moment - it finishes this evening.

I've just been having a look at the IOM line-up. Since you're a brass player I imagine you would have made a beeline for Enrico Tomasso? I'm not normally a particular fan of trumpet, but I saw ET perform at Keswick and thought he was brilliant. He's also appearing at Bude so I'm looking forward to seeing him again there.

Hope you enjoyed the festival, it looked really good.

I'm ashamed to say I missed it all this year With playing in the theatre in the eveinings and being busy in the daytimes. I hear it was excellent as usual though!

What a shame to have missed the festival! Hope playing at your own concert made up for it though.
