Anyone watching it??..

I know Sarah-flute is as she had a thread running earlier in the week!

Must say my favourite tonight was Connie - least favourite was probably Siobhan or Laura - however, to give them due, they are 2 of the least experienced.

Yeah have to agree with you on connie, I didn't like Helena that much either. They all can sing quite beautifully though.

My favourite would probably be Siobahn or Connie. Glad that Siobahn was saved! I'm definately watching it tonight!!

Yeah I agree it was Leanne who sang first. I think either Laura or Helena might be out.

I think they are all good singers but some of them just stand and sing!! What happened to being entertaining?

I'd put my money on Connie - she has that extra sparkle that the part needs.

Happy with that result. Laura and Helena were the weakest two in my opinion, and I felt that Helena sang the last song better. I actually voted for Connie tonight (do you know that in the US talent shows like American Idol, that telephone voting is free). So my money is on Connie. But for someone so inexperienced, I think Leanne is great.

I agree with notmusimum (having also suffered years of dance festivals), Connie was one of the few who actually performed tonight. SHe should do - she's professional - but it did make a difference.

As I was at the rehearsal on Tuesday, I can say that all of them except Belinda performed better on Tuesday than they did on the live show - could this be because they all let the nerves get to them a bit? Maybe that says something about who is most appropriate for a lead in a West End Show...

In my opinion Connie was the best last night, with Meliz and Belinda performing very well too. Siobhan was disappointing as she was easily the best performer in the rehearsal

I agree, Connie was definitely the best last night! I also loved Leanne's performance!

I thought Connie was just plain scary and aggresive in her first number.

But Helena was absolutely god awful on hers... frankly, so many of them were poor if you ask me. The judges should have been a lot harsher with their comments.

I agree with Rink. It's hard to imagine any of them, with possible exception of Connie, having the sheer stamina to produce 8 performances a week in the West End. Most of them would be hard pushed to do a week at a provincial theatre. And we haven't even seen any of them act, or dance, much. It will be a demanding role - Maria has to carry the show really.
I think Lesley Garrett has been cast as the Mother Superior - 'Climb every mountain' etc

I totally agree, again!!! No offence, but Abi was really starting to bug me! She kept making up excuses for her performance, such as she couldn't hear the music!!!

How do you solve a problem like Maria, though?

I don't know but I am not so sure that this is the way! Whoever the public vote for, it probably won't be the right lady for the job!

I thought it was good that Andrew gets to choose between the last two, though! And that was so funny then they did 'So Long, Farewell...' song to get rid of the person who was out!!

I agree, again!!! It was good that he chose who to send home from the two bottom ones!!

I thought that was rather unfair actually! If I had just been sent home, I would just feel like getting off the stage and crying! But then she had to sing 'So long farewell' and I thought she did really well to still be able to sing!!!

Likewise! At the start of the programme, I really liked her and she was one of my favourites! But now, she is, in my opinion, turning really false!! Maybe a little harsh..........!!?

That's funny!! I am torn between the two of them as well!! My mum and sister like Connie more, but I think I prefer Leanne! They are both really good singers, and I think they could both be Maria!!

The other one who sang Over the Rainbow was good too, it's a shame about her accent. She was so good at 'Don't cry for me, Argentina' when she sang it last week

Tell me about it!! It is a shame about her accent but you do have to worry though, when it comes to the dialogue!!
