The thread did actually return to music in the end, as there was a discussion emerging about what
Barry-clari was going to write for the next forums concert - so it can't be said that it was too far removed for a music forum; and anyway, it was in the cafe.

I've been told by a moderator that it was turning into a CISD-style thread in which little music was being discussed and the fact that it started life as a notification of a full inbox doubled the offence as this was inappropriate use of the forums.

I hope you can all forgive me.

They could simply have locked it, rather than delete it altogether. We obviously enjoyed it as why else would we want to vote for it.

And what about the OLTVA thread??...that started out as a video of a singer (which was musical...I mean the subject not necessarily the singer ), and digressed in a similar way, and they just changed the topic title to accommodate it.

Seems to me that the mods have somewhat double standards.
