Hi everyone, you probably can all figure out that I'm new here... so, here goes my cliche introduction thread! Some things about myself: I've played piano for 11 years, flute for 8 years, I do piano mostly recreationally but I play flute competitively.. sort of.. I've been in the NJ All-State Band and Regional Bands over the years and done a lot of ensemble playing. Also, I don't think we have a formal levels system in the US, or maybe I'm living in a bubble, who knows, but if anyone's interested, I could give you a rough idea of my skill level with pieces I'm working on now.. ok, so yea, hi everyone!

Ooh me too (well, the being 16 part, I'm afraid I don't really get the American system but I think junior in high school matches up to Year 12 which is what I'm going into in September. Because it goes junior and then senior and then you graduate, right? When you're 18). Oh, look at that, I do know something about it after all

Hi there! I joined recently too. I'm also from the US (New Hampshire). I haven't heard about the level things either until now, so you're not alone! I'm almost 15 and I play the clarinet. I auditioned for NH All State last year and didn't make it but I'm working hard to make a better attempt this year! Hey, I got three years...hopefully I'll make it once!
