I've noticed that a few areas seem to have guitar or classical guitar societies. I've been thinking about maybe starting one in my area, and was wondering if any of you had experience with them?

No, not a member of any nor have been to any meetings but I'm sure if you contacted an existing group for advice they'd be more than happy to help.

Have a look in the back of the Classical Guitar magazine, there's a long list of societies around the country and there's probably one quite close to you already. Or at the very least some people to chat to about setting on up. There's also a Federation of Guitar Societies (Google will probably find it for you).

I've already looked - nothing close to me, I'm afraid!
