Hi I was just wondering if the higher theory grades are needed for A levels or degrees.
Thanks

The only time you'll need them is for the AB's teaching diplomas - you need Grade 6 for DipABRSM teaching and Grade 8 for LRSM teaching.

But no reason not to do them.
I even did grade 5 theory because I wanted and not because I needed.

I did the higher grades purely out of curiousity. I wanted to learn more and was really interested in what they were all about. I think they are worth getting under your belt if you can, but not essential. If you enjoy theory then it's worth having a go

I'd still recommend doing them , you learn far more about harmony and counterpoint for a starters

So for A levels not much theory is required to do the course?
Or do you need grade 5 or something? If you do please tell me.
Thanks
