But how do you find out what your marks were - apart from my RE exam (Edexcel) i can't find the marks!!!

I did a half in Food Tech (OCR) and I got an A And I can't find my mark either

I had a breakdown sheet which told me what marks i got in the different Units such as Coursework and Exams

I got a breakdown sheet for my Geography (it was OCR, the others were AQA) and I got a B in The coursework, A in the dme and A* in the terminal exam! I think i got 345/400.

Definitely, even though my AS results are good, there are people on there with higher marks and grades and it just makes you feel rubbish. But you've all done really well

Me neither...I have marks Uniform marks for RS OCR but not for OCR maths or anything else....

Whereas for A Level you get your mark breakdown for every single unit you take, you tend not to get them at GCSE. I didn't get any.

I got 6 A*s and 3 As.
A* in Music.
My only raw mark I know is 158/160 in RS - possibly a top 10 but not confirmed.

Whats the difference between RAW marks and UMS??

UMS are adjusted. You don't need full raw marks to get full UMS - more like 80%.

Edit: Great. I'm on the school website...

I think 100% UMS is a lot more than 80% raw marks...

Depends on the subject I guess, but I worked it out for the ones where I have both the raw marks and UMS and it was just under 80% for most.

I know it isn't A Level, but 80% is an A....which would mean that all As would be full UMS which isn't right I don't know.

Hi everyone, loads of really good results here! TSR really is depressing, though!
I don't know how I managed it, but somehow I got 12 A*s... I think they must have confused me with someone else, because seriously, some of my exams were terrible. But it made a nice surprise!

I know I PMd you already but, WOW! Well done - fantastic


I expect it depends on the level of the paper (GCSE/A Level, lower/higher tiers), the subject, and possibly also how well others did (I don't know how it works these days, but I think GCSEs used to change bands slightly each year so if it was a really amazing year across the board academically then higher marks would be needed for the highest bands - I don't know if it still works that way and I don't think it's the same at A Level)

I don't think I found out a single separate mark at GCSE, nor did people get told if they were "top 10" or "top 5"!

You've all done brilliantly, congrats all round

Congratulations everybody! Don't know what you were so worried about Rainbow, those grades are great.

I got 10A*s this year, and I have 2 A* from last year. Very happy, especially the fact that I somehow pulled off an A* in Music when I was so worried about it. I also got a Top 5 mark in History, which is rather ironic as I decided not to take that subject for A level....

I got 3 A*s, 5 A's and 4 B's. I couldn't be happier, I was one hundred percent convinced I would get straight C's and D's.

Well done isabelsmells, they are great results.

You should all be extremely proud of your results. They are no mean feat to get those results, and to the people who may not have got straight A's or A*'s, just think you have already done a lot better than people who may not have actually done the exams and not got any results. So in a way everyone is a champion no matter what results that they got!
