I do! I love it - and I'm getting one on hire tomorrow so I'm very excited!! It's a great instrument, I've only just started learning it up so I'm pretty much a beginner too but I do play piano and I think that helps! Go for it! There are loads of places you can hire them so that you can decide if it is the right instrument for you. Good luck! biggrin.gif

Where abouts do you live Darren? You wrote the word "have" with Welsh spelling (haf) so I wondered if that is where you live, and attend school. If so I may have some more ideas. smile.gif

There's been a thread on harps in the Adult Learners forum. This is the link: harp thread
It might have some information to help you.

Try www.harpspectrum.org and www.harpcolumn.com to start with. Harps are fun, but not cheap!

http://www.weddingharper.com/harplust.html lists makers internationally with several in NSW which is I assume where you meant to type!

Isn't harp really expensive?

I love the harp. If I can get one more instrument, it'll either be a harp,'cello or a church organ. biggrin.gif
They look so beautiful. I wonder if any guys play the harp??It's such a girly instrument.

The concert ones are, but they're also really difficult to transport, you'd need your own van!! My harp cost £250 and is A 30 string (well actually 29 at the moment cos 1 went and I need to get some spares) folk lever harp which is nice to play and also the technique is the same as for concert harp so you could practice/ start on one like this and move on to palying a concert harp if you can find one to play!!
