One of the things I had down on my list of 'things to do before term starts' was to sort out my sock drawer. As I'm someone who absolutely NEVER wears skirts or dresses , socks are my standard footwear.

I thought that would be a nice little job to do this morning before leaving for the Market Harborough get-together, and while I was doing it I just thought I'd find out how many pairs I have - I can't resist buying nice ones when I see them in the shops, especially when they're reduced in price, so I knew I had quite a lot....

Well, the grand total is 121 pairs ! Even I was surprised that it was so many. And I couldn't bring myself to throw any out as I like them all!

Can anyone here beat that? Or has anyone got ridiculous amounts of anything else (clothing or other items)?

My sock drawer is full - it really needs sorting and I think most aren't pairs!

Most of the socks in my drawer seem to be pairs, but rather worn pairs!

I think that this makes you a soxmaniac! You should write about "The Joy of Sox" or "Sox and Satisfacyion perhaps.

99% of my socks are odd

Did any other idiot actually hold their smelly sock aginst the screen to determine their IQ in the "Let your socks reveal your IQ" section? Or was it just me?

My shirt and trouser part of where I keep my clothes is overflowing.

I don't have quite that many pairs of socks, but I did once find that I'd got over 100 pairs of tights, 40 of which had ladders in them, which I'd kept for "wearing under trousers" when no-one would see And I never wear tights under trousers, because it's actually quite uncomfortable

If I have an odd sock, I usually find the other one down behind a radiator, all covered in dust and cobwebs.

At the moment though, I have lost a pair of trousers How can a pair of trousers just go missing? I keep thinking they will just turn up, but they haven't so far - they're black, M&S size 16, anyone seen them anywhere?

121 pairs of socks, 18 clarinets - blimey Jo, you don't do things by halves!

Socks are good - I wear them anything up to seven times a week - but I don't have quite as many as 121 pairs. My favourite pair are bright red, excellent for wearing when cheering Wales at rugby (and for throwing across the room in a sulk when they lose. Again ).
