Right, sorting out UCAS form, and I really am stuck!

First, in the education section, where you put your qualifications, is the date, the month and year you took them (ie. June 2006) or when you got the results (ie. August 2006)?

What if you don't know whether your History (or something else course) was History A/B/C, can you just put History?

That's it for the moment - the education section is driving me bonkers.

OK, thankyou, I will!

On our UCAS form, we all put when we took the exam and then got told later to change it to when we got the results. You've not got the qualification, technically, if you put when you took the exam as you haven;t been awarded anything yet!

I've got my AS qualifications though.

I've just put all my AS grades etc, and then I filled in the A2 boxes but put "grade pending" is this right?
elmo
Yeah for A2. I don't think I phrased what I said proplery.

If you out as having GCSEs as of June 2003 (as was the case for me) then technically on that date, I hadn't any qualifications to my name. Whereas, if you put them as being August, when you got your results you've got a definite result. Like, for example, on my ucas form, I put I passed Key Skills in february 04. As it turned out, I never passed it, but that was the last month that key skills could get marked and I presumed I would pass it and ended up failing it. Point is, if they'd bothered to check, my form would've had to come back to me and would've delayed my application.

I put when I was awarded the qualification, not when I sat the exam, I think that's what's expected: the exam boards record when they officially award one a given qualification as public record, so everything needs to match in case any employers/universities double-check.

Ooooh ###### (edit unsure.gif, it wasn't that naughty a word!) Yes, you're right. I'll have to go back and change it now!

What about if I sat 1 unit in January, the others in June, would I still put the date as August? (when I got results)
elmo
yep *nods*

You should describe each subject as it is on your certificate.

You did an exam in January and didn't get the result until August? What was that?

Good luck!

Well it is just "History" but I know for a fact I did "Schools' History Project"

I did a module in January, got result in March ish, but didn't get the qualification til August, as I had completed the other 2 modules by then
