My teacher wants me to create a big scale chart. Although I already am using the "scale pot" system, I think I should still create a chart too. Any ideas, apart from the scales and arpeggios about what to put on it?

Different articulation is a good idea. I don't know whether to do days of the week, or when I can play them or what.

Doing a chart I would do days of the week.
Work out something that covers everything over a certain number of days.
For my grade 8 piano I covered everything on a 4 day cycle on about half an hour a day.
I would have some of everything each day.
If you want to know how my piano one worked PM me.

I would check with your teacher exactly what he would think would suit your particular needs.
Sometimes it helps to have the letter names of the notes as a quick reminder if you get really stuck.
To go with your scale pot - I'm assuming that you mean the name of each one on a small card - how about a second set of cards with different articulations, dynamics etc. Then you could pick one per day, or one per five scales, or whatever . . .
But leave a little space after each scale on your chart for a big shiny star when you can play it really well. My teenage pupils still get stars - none of them are too cool for this.

That's an excellent idea to do a scale pot with articulations too.
I will ask her next week what exactly she wants from my scale chart.
I still get stickers in my flute lessons (I'm 17), so don't worry

You can get good music stickers from The Sticker Factory. I've had some printed that say 'Cyrilla says WELL DONE' and 'Cyrilla says BRILLIANT' etc etc.
My beloved Hungarian teacher who died in 2004 always gave stickers to her adult students - I don't think you're ever too old for them!!!
