fingerings
F side 0 12 1 2 0 1 2 0 23 12 1 2 0

Note C Db D Eb E F Gb G Ab A Bb B C

Bb side 0 23 12 1 2 0 12 1 23 12 1 2 0

where 1 is 1st valve, 2 is 2nd, 0 is open etc.
i suggest to do C to G on the f side, and then Ab to C if you must on Bb side, but its much better to learn all the fingerings for both, but stick to the F side as much as possible.
hope this helps

Learn to recite the note names... that should help as it should for all instruments.
Katet
Chromatic i think. as opposed to cramic!
missfabflute
practise the flight of the bumblebee

it will help you in your chromatic

or if you have a piano, look at it, and play the chromatic as you go up the keys smile.gif

I only started flute 3 years ago... and i can play it! tongue.gif

i think anyone can if they really practise it!
DavidMusic
May I ask if you play it at full speed?
saxlover
maybe is a simplfied version wink.gif blink.gif unsure.gif
missfabflute
no its not...its a proper version

and yes i can play it at full speed but i tend to slip my fingers

i play fast but not super fast tongue.gif thats mad!!

Note: i can only play flute..not piano. its too difficult

That is very impressive you know. To be able to play the proper version of Flight of the Bumblebee on *any* instrument after only three years of study is pretty much prodigy level, even with lots of practice! Even though it is not listed in the current syllabi on the exams boards, I hazard to guess it is diploma level (and not necessarily the first level ones either!).

I have a friend who used to play the flute excellently (got a music scholarship for secondary school and everything) and she said it was diabolical, practically triple tonguing all the way through. blink.gif
missfabflute
Woah!! Your friend is EXCELLENT!!!

I just practised LOADS

Anyone can play it as long as they practise alot and alot and alot!! smile.gif

Actually, i think it was my school flute teacher who motivated me. I had no flute lessons at that time (still dont) but she gave me loadsa tips and stuff. smile.gif She is the best
MOtivation is very important in this piece too..lol!
