this is also in the students bit but i thought it might be useful to find out what fellow brass players think since this is affected by embouchure related things....

i've had this issue between uni and conservatoire like a lot of musicians...

the thing is, this year i changed my tpt (1st instrument) embouchure and i'm really not ready to audition for music college this year (can't even play all the required pieces they want yet)... but because of this i kind of convinced myself uni was a gd idea...
now i have a number of options -

- i could go to uni, audition for college in my first year and see what happens...
- go to uni and do a postgrad at conservatoire - except i wouldnt have had such intensive performance training as maybe other ppl....
- gap year then apply to music college - but im too scared to go for a gap year...
- or just give up hope altogether... don't really wanna do that!

i just wanted to know what you think you'd do in my situation... needing more ideas here!! so if anyone can help, i'll be eternally grateful!

I am doing a music degree at a university, I'm going to look into doing my post grad at a conservatoire.
At university I can enhance all of the skills relating to music, like being able to do composition (which I can't actually do) and performance in the first year, and then becoming a bit more specialised in the following years. This suits me as I want to become a more "rounded" musician rather than only doing performance at the moment.
