The piece 'aria' in the 'suite antique' book for flute. I know that this has to be played with the 'waltz' as a grade 8 piece, and I know by itself the 'waltz' is a grade 8 standard. but what is the 'aria' by itself standard?

Technically, about Grade 5 but musically Grade 6 ish... if you see what I mean. The tone quality is paramount here! rolleyes.gif It is lovely but it can become a bit "sugary"... tongue.gif

The aria tecnically isnt hard, grade 5/6, but pretty hard to play musically. I dont think its a great piece which makes it even harder to make sound convincing.
