Probably when I decided to do my grade 8. I had never done any exams before, and we talked about maybe starting at grade 6 and working from there, but in the end I went straight in at the deep end!
There have been lots more, but I can't think of any right now.
Yours have all been lovely!

Not giving up on tenor horn, that was when I was in year 4! I was going to give up, then at the last minuet decided not to. So glad I didn't because I wouldn't have had a change of horns and everything I do now!

Not really a decision, or a family one anyway, but getting the internet and then getting broadband. I've never been the sort of person to ask questions, so having all this information available revolutionised my life.

I first found out about the British Flute Society, and, after attending a Teachers' Day, was put in touch with Topwind who found me my teacher. I then discovered the old ABRSM website, and thus knew all about the new diplomas. When the new website was launched I joined the Forums. And that has led to to a whole host of performing, learning and collaborating opportunities, through which I have made some great new musical friends.
