I put a band together earlier this year playing jazz, blues and a little rock 'n' roll. We are mainly based in Lancaster. Unfortunately, our trumpet player has moved away and we are really struggling to find a replacement. Does anyone fancy a go? More details can be found on www.jivehoot.co.uk.

We have a really good time but can't really progress or commit to any more performances until we can find a replacement trumpet/cornet player. The music is generally very simple reading with some improvising to basic chord structures.

Also, put ads in the supermarkets, libraries, local colleges, papers etc.

The reason I say this is because I know a very good amateur cornet player and also a tuba player but neither of them bothers with the internet.

Thanks Steve, I'll try that forum. I've already advertised in the local papers and shop windows, so am really struggling.
