Is it possible that, i can but an uprite piano for under £100. smile.gif
Lucia
No! If you do it is most likely to be absolute rubbish which you will then have real trouble trying to dispose of.

I agree with Lucia.

I looked at some pretty grotty 2nd hand uprights at £300 and above.
The keys were very uneven, some missing, some didn't play. Some had rusty tuning pegs and cracked soundboards.

Funnily enough though, after looking at about 4, I found a 1939 Collard and Collard piano which was immaculate - apart from the wood casing which was a little chipped near the feet.

I bought that for £120 and it's still going strong.

I sold it to one of my piano teachers pupls when I bought my new Kawai.
My tuner told me it is still in good shape and plays like a dream (he still tunes it for her).

Somewhere along the wreckage, you may just find a decent one but very doubtful.

It might be ok, but with my experiences of looking at second hand - not likely.

Certainley don't buy one without seeing it. However cheap or expensive !

More doesn't always mean better. My Collard was cheap and better than the pianos at £300 up !

Very unlikely that you can find a decent (not even good) piano at such price.

Particularly you must be very careful in choosing 2nd handed piano, better have a good piano technician with you. Because a lot of parts inside a piano can be replaced such that the piano's value is totally lost. It is also possible that some replaced parts are with very cheap and undurable materials that the piano will not last long.

In one word, before extremely careful in choosing 2nd handed pianos!
