Hi, I just wondered if anyone could help me out. I'm currently doing a PGCE and will be teaching some lessons based around life in an Indian village for my 1st teaching practice. I just wonered if anyone culd recommend any good books preferably with CDs with Indian songs and music (e.g. dance). Anything similar to the Music Express books or Sing a song of Africa (they don't have an India title of this series) would be great. The simpler the better.

Thanks in advance,
YR.

You could try "Folksongs from India" published by Faber ISBN 0 571 51372 7. I have used its African counterpart with KS2 before now, but don't know the Indian one.
Good luck with your PGCE! wink.gif
