This may be a stupid question, but I've just realised that I've entered my first theory student for an exam in November, and I have NO idea whereabouts he actually has to go to to sit the exam! I know which 'centre' he's in, obviously, but where is that??? I can't find anything on the web, and I don't remember having been emailed it - do the board just expect us to know? How do I find out?

If you find the location of the centre, try online map tools at http://maps.google.co.uk/ or www.local.live.com . Just type the address into google map and they will bring you there!

Good luck!

The venue will also be at the top right hand corner of the appointments letter, which you should receive shortly. Mine came on Saturday.

That's the problem, I don't know the address!

Ann: thanks, I had kind of given up getting anything by post, but if that letter is on its way, that will hopefully sort out the problem!

I don't really understand why they can't have a listing of centres with addresses on their website.... unsure.gif

In our local centre, the theory exams are sometimes at one secondary school, and sometimes at another. I imagine this is due to availability of the premises. The Centre No. is still the same when you apply.

As other people have said, it'll be on the letter, which you may have received by now. I got mine on Saturday, too.

If you're still stuck, try contacting the local rep.

I agree that it would be helpful to be able to find out where an exam centre actuslly is.
Knowing this can help with choosing a centre when, like me, you are in reasonably easy reach of 3 centres.

It's possible to find out from the HLR but would be easier if the information was more freely available.
